Recap: KH & YL Wedding

Waking up early for my friend's wedding can be tough, imagine we are tired just by flying back from Japan via HongKong. I had never thought that flying back can be so tiring. The seats aren't that comfy! We took Cathay Pacific airline back. I was so tired that I actually sleep through the meal time when we flying to Hong Kong. Of course, I made sure I was fully awake to eat on the HK flight to Singapore. haha!
The Brothers in arms
It was a great weather for wedding and I am glad I made my way back for the wedding. Apart from seeing our good friend getting married, it is like a reunion for the rest of us. Among the brothers are my good friends in army days. I think I have not see Jx for like at least 4 years? Its great that the rapport among the brothers still existed. This is verified during the dinner time when we are tasked to do different things and yet covering/assisting each other during the dinner.

Garden Themed Photo Booth
I think I mentioned before that I am tasked in preparing the candy booth, photo booth during the cocktail. I am feeling a little stress out before the event. Since we went Japan for a week, I have no idea what is the status of the stuff for the booths. I received information that nothing much had changed, so I carry on my task as per my last impression.

Dwarfs checked. Flowers checked. Garden Wall checked. Photo stand checked. Gates checked. Photos? eh... Never mind, I began setting up the table... shall wait for KH's comment on the photos. It turned out good and I am so glad that we had a dry run at his place before setting up here. Minor problems was solved. Issues were taken care of. There you go, the photo booth all set up!

Candy Booth
Up next, the candy booth. This is where the hiccups began. haha... Firstly, the bottles are not seen anywhere. Then, I forgot about borrowing 3-tiers plate from my friend. Next the booth seems pretty empty after setting up. Thankfully, we kept calm and solved each problems one by one.

We requested from the hotel some plates for decorations. The plates is what I wished they could provide. Some minor changes made to make the booth less boring and it turned out to be great! My little DIY stuff I bought or brought along did help me to get my job done much easily.

Before the wedding, I am feeling a little disappointed why KH did not choose me to be his emcee and yet pay someone else to do it. (They are not even professional emcee!) But soon I realised on that day itself that he did make a good decision. Not that I am claiming much credit, since the success depended on every individual one of us, I find myself in the middle of getting things done. This of course, does not include the sister's roles.

Maybe due to the fact that I attended more wedding and helped out more than any one of the rest of the brothers, I am more experience. Hence, I am around offering advice and instructions and get the job done. We realised that nothing much was done by the official PIC. Not to fault him, since he is someone out of the brothers' circle of friends. He is groom's friend. Just that, IF I was made the emcee of the night, I may not be free to settle other issues.

I must say that the success depends on the sisters and brothers effort. On the brothers' side, I really amazed that we worked like we have been working together for years. As if we are seeing each other day in, day out for a long time. It definitely helps when we trust each other to do our part and trust whoever is giving the instructions. I am very emotional when I think back what happened that day.

I never know that I miss them so dearly. It is almost impossible for 11 of us to be back together at the same time in a single event! I guess I finally realised the statement we always hear... "True friendship can withstand the toughness of time". I'm sure our friendship will not die even though we have differences. We are the real brothers!
