Field Of Dreams

      National Stadium finally came to an end after 34 years of glory days. She serves Singapore well from SEAP Games to Malaysia Cup.... National Day parades to ASEAN Championship (previously known as Tiger Cup). Though i am not so attached to the building, its saddening to see it gone... The tribute to the stadium was indeed meaningful.

      Unfortunately, the promoters did a bad job. I never really see any promoting for the events. The turn-out was disappointing. Merely 45,000 (max. capacity is 55k, i think). The sound system wasn't that good, i can hardly hear the legend, Rahima Rahim sings. Neither could i hear Kit Chan's voice... The only good part was Mark Richmond's exciting introduction for various soccer moments, Daniel Ong's & Jean Danker's emcee-ing... Brian Richmond is just ok, not that bad either... And that's all...

      The match between Singapre Ex-International & Malaysia Ex-International is just rubbish, i guess no one really want to watch... it ended Singapore won over a coin toss after a 1-1 draw... Stupid right? haha... The match between Socceroos & the Lions aren't as good as expected. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Aussie. Australia was at second-gear throughout the 1st half, missing their chances & giving Singapore chances to score... Unfortunately, the lions couldn't perform... Its not that they did not have any chance, they have lots of one-on-one chances instead... all blew wide, keeper saved or worst still... give the ball back to Australia.

      0-0 at half time is not credit to Lionel Lewis. He hardly made any saves. At most 2 commendable saves... The rest? Socceroos missed the chances themselves. His performance is below-par... Made many silly mistakes, e.g. pass the balls to opponent... Indra Sahdan failed to keep up his reputation in scoring against big team. He is famous for scoring against Man Utd, Uruguay, Japan & Denmark. Today, he did shoot, but failed to score...

Aussie shows EPL standard

      Singapore wasted many chances in attacking. They do not shoot directly or try to, whenever there is a chance. They will wait, hestitate or ponder awhile before trying for a shot... by that time, opponent had reacted and snatch the ball back. Hey, we are against European based Aussie leh... At this rate, we can't even be ASEAN Champions again. Thailand actually played better that time in National stadium. Singapore use long-ball techniques again... which actually failed against Thai... Aussie punished them in second half with Harry Kewell subbed in... a player with class...

      A little disappointed today, after the event. Not a good outing... No enthusiastic crowds (unlike against Thai), No full attendance... Post-events really s**ks big time... (Who is the singer again?) Hopefully, can see better performance from Singapore. More matches like this is needed.... till more improvement, i guess i may not go watch SIN matches in near future...

Team A

      After finishing my 4-day Team B shift, i started as Team A today. Rather uneasy for my first day. Not because of the ex-Team A leader but more because today, we had a rather easy day. Not something we face in Team B. Never had such a relax day. So i couldn't really gauge if its a good or bad thing going to Team A. Guess, i can only judge or comment after a few days or weeks...

      Today, i ended up trying to communicate with other members... Chatting with them more... Playing the role as a counselor or listener rather than a team leader... Made a mistake at work, largely due to the fact that yesterday was a busy day... rushing for many reports. Thanks Team B for helping me out... Now have to prepare for more 'challenges'

      Bonus was given this month... Pretty low... increment? low too... this year increment is lowest in AFPD history... according to my colleagues... so sad... Added more workload, responsibility yet no increase in pay for that... sounds like Army... yes, it is... at least Army increase rank have more pay... Don't worry, i am hanging on... lol

what i need is... rest

      A little update about me from work. An official email been sent to my department's people stating that i will transfer to team A as leader next week. Hence i had to work 5 consecutive days before the leave i took on SAT to take a short rest. After that... 3 more working days before my official 2 days off... Hectic workload... This explains why i quite busy recently....

      Having fever on Monday... Now, i am still having bad sorethroat & cough... its hurt... these days... my whole body felt weak, had severe headache... i went work despite having MC. Bo bian, MC not recognised... But now, slighty better le... though still having cough... Toothache also seems to be gone after visiting the dentist on MON.

      Today, i met up with some of the Lounge 12 members... Never get to sleep... so i was expecting a tired or sleepy meet up... but surprisingly, i was fully awake & was enjoying myself. Did some catch up with all... JiuHsiang, Dingze, Jianqiang, Weiliang, Jack, Terence... It was great~! i had been busy for weeks. Never even chat with them much online... Today, we also talked about the overseas trip...

      Before today meet up, i actually was feeling a little uneasy over meeting JiuHsiang... i can still remember him acting strange with me around... and i am also afraid if he asked much about Teck... But all turns out well... I enjoyed the chat up with him too... its was back to good old days... those memories with him & the rest... Guard duties, NDP, Outfield etc... Those were the days... haha

      The only sad thing that bothers me is... Henry's departure to Arsenal... I was angry in the beginning... As he denied all reports for past few months... in the end... its true... he is leaving... Now, i feel that ARS will be better without him... No one player is bigger than a club... so... Bye Henry... Really hope you don't join the Arsenal-leaver-flops list...

      Today, erm... yesterday is the first day of working without our ex-Team leader Haymar... My mama... haha... all because of her name 'Mar' x2 = "MaMa"... Will definitely miss her...

      Did a small gift for her, she liked it alot... i was glad that my effort was not wasted. It took me a little while to gather all the message & photos for her... Due to some people not cooperative enough, Thinyu & Nay on long leave... i have to try to cover up for them... but i guess, i did well haha... it was well-received in my department and many people praising a job well done...

      I created a small commotions. A few commented not to let me quit till they quit... some even say... they quiting the next day, want me to do one for them also. Wah... die... haha... but really happy to hear their praises... and Haymar give me a Distinction for that... wooHhoo... but sad to see he leave. She and me click very soon after i joined the team. We became closer & good partners... due to our similarities in character. Our age are only 5 days apart. I owe her for who i am today, i learn alot to survive in this company.

      I can't really clicked with the new leader, though we worked together since i joined the team. Our views are different. But strangely, we still can cooperate well if we don't need to chat lar.. haha... But soon, i will need to leave the team. I am either going to be the new leader of team A or just a member of team C. haiz... i am in a difficult situation.

      A long waited short break. I had not met up with Kangwei & Vivian since Feb Chalet. The gathering last time was short too. This time round, we spent 2 days enjoying ourselves and fooling around... haha. Xinyi made up the group of four... We watched Shrek 3 and laughed our heads off... Xinyi make me & Kangwei laughed throughout the whole movie. Both of us keep teasing her after that. Vivian only joins us after movie.

      We went to a few places for our meal. Never been to there before... Day 1, Dian Xiao Er for lunch... & Carl's Jr for dinner... Day 2, we settled our dinner at Long House at Thomson. DXE was a little expensive but not too bad. Portions was big... Carl's Jr was great but i will never eat double again... ITS HUGE~! plus wholemeal bread, OMG~!! More exercise for me... its tough to finish it... Long House's chicken rice was rather ok... but its the company that make it taste better... haha...

      Its been a long time i enjoyed so much... with wacky Vivian & fun-loving Kangwei... The hidden me was brought back to life... argh... so tired due to the laugh we had... Xinyi should open up more and fool with us more... We took alot (and i do mean ALOT) of photos. Wacky ones, cool ones, ai mei ones (censored here), innocent ones... many many more... camera just couldn't stop clicking... Ms Vivian is our 'super star' while i have to settle down being a 'famous star' haha....

      In short, we are really having fun... In the midst of playing, we visited Ms Lim @ Bukit Panjang and Ms Koe & THPZ staff. We definitely made their day as they are having a hard time at work. Their smile assure us that we made the right move... Too bad many cashiers not working that day... Never mind, there is always another time. Can't wait to go out with them again before my xiao di, Kangwei enter army...
