movie marathon
Today was a tiring day. I had spent my whole day watching movies at two locations. First up, i met Xinyi at GV@J8 for the movie Hairspray. Excellent movie... another great musical movie. Slightly more light-hearted compared to Dreamgirls. Catchy songs, colorful clothes & meaningful stories pumped up the movie. Zac Efron (from the High School Musical fame) was sauve inside the show. I am sure he attracted alot of girls. No wonder one of my friend joked that couple shouldn't watched the show. Why? Your girlfriend may forget about you and drools for that charming guy.Special thanks to those girls at the show. It provided the 'Live' sounds with the applause and the 'oohs' & 'ahhs'that add lots of flavours to the show. I almost thought that i went for a 'Live' Musical.
After which, we head down to Library to borrow... alright not books... but comics... Then its movie #2 at Shaw House. This was a mistake. We shouldn't have watched it. Rogue Assassin was easily identified by me as the worst Jet Li's movie, ever. Story wasn't good enough, even though there was a twist inside. Too much talking, too little actions. The story was a mess. The flow wasn't there. You may ended up wondering what are they doing. Who is who? etc... Don't waste your money one this. It simply couldn't make the mark. Anyway, Jet is old now... just like Jackie Chan, actions seems nothing impressive while looks, skin look damn bad (many close up scenes). Just imagine, i actually almost fall asleep if not because for Xinyi's handphone. I played a game during the boring period of time. That's how much it bores me.
The movie marathon was tiring. Thanks to the miscommunication & bickering between me & Xinyi. Alright, i hate to bicker & she is the only one that can make me do that. *laugh* Hmm... her processing skills is slower and at times, getting me frustrated at times since she couldn't get the meaning of my message. Not that i want to, but seems like 90% of the time, she couldn't get my message right. Anyway, that's the tiring part apart from sitting inside the cinema for movie #2.
We ended our day with movie #3, No Reservations. This was a romance & it sets the mood right. If i am there with the one i love, i believe that i will be really happy. Love is in the air. The movie features good acting, good laughs & good story. The mood was set just right with the 5 young girls sitting in front of us keep cheering with envy or admirations over the scenes where the main acter show his tenderness for the actress. Awww... How i wished i had a girl right now... and watched the movie together... *laugh* joking. Movie Reviews
