Penang is famous for their Laksa, but unfortunately, i don't like the prawn paste that was added. I only know after that that i can request not to put. Too late! haha... but nevertheless, i love their noodle. Nice noodle! Other than the laksa, we had many other food too! AMAZING & CHEAP FOOD! On our first morning, we had Dim Sum and man, it was definitely affordable. Now i know why there was such a long queue at the place, Restoran Chaw Choon. I have no complaints on their dim sum. The variety is there and my friend fell in love with the egg tarts. The food there is so good that we decided to have it on our last day before our flights! But since we had a long night, we dabao (takeaway) and have it at home! =)
We also visited the famous temples and the Toy Museum! YEAH! BUT! Unfortunately, the museum was a letdown. The toys are dusty and the museum are poorly organised. Lighting focused on the top level and bottom are too dark. The guy at the reception mention that they are going to move to another location, much larger space with better variety... price? it will increase a little from the current RM10 (Malaysian) & RM20 (Foreigner). Honestly, i do hope they consider a better way to showcase teh priceless toys that cross different generations! Many fond memories returned after looking at the toys. Angie is definitely one of the happier ones! haha
We are lucky that we are able to see street arts (murals) along the street of George Town. They were done by Ernest Zacharevic for George Town Arts Festival.
The art combines wall painting with real physical object. It is my first time seeing this kind of art. It amused me and definitely, the crowd puller. It is not hard to find them along Lebuh Armenian, Lebuh Cannon, Lebuh Ah Quee etc.
Just follow the crowd! haha.... The most famous one that you can see online EVERYWHERE is the art that show two kids on the bicycle. Simple, yet heartwarming. The scene also had a old wall beside it. Amazing combination, no wonder this was the MOST POPULAR one. If you are planning to go Penang, check them out!
